22 Days Until Departure: The Excitement is Peaking

With just 22 days to go before the big departure, excitement is at an all-time high at home. The bags are slowly filling up, last-minute shopping is in full swing, and the adrenaline is rising as the big day approaches. It’s hard to believe that in just a few weeks, on October 5th, we’ll be in Jakarta, officially kicking off our world tour!

Jakarta will be our gateway to Indonesia. This vast and vibrant city already promises incredible discoveries—ancient temples, bustling markets, and a surprising blend of tradition and modernity. To recover from the long flight, we plan to take our time, wander around, and most of all, let ourselves be amazed by everything around us.

Anaïs is eager to visit Sunda Kelapa, one of the city’s historical gems. And me? I’ve already got my eye on the street food stalls waiting for us—nasi goreng, satays, and plenty of other local delights. They say every street corner holds a surprise for the taste buds, and just thinking about it makes our mouths water. We can already picture the kids discovering new flavors, their eyes sparkling with curiosity.

After four days in Jakarta, we’ll head to Semarang for a short stop before making our way to the Karimunjawa Islands. White sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and snorkeling are on the agenda. Martin dreams of seeing colorful fish, and Julien is already ready to bring out his mask and snorkel.

We know this journey is only just beginning, but we can already feel that it will be filled with magical moments and unforgettable experiences. We can’t wait to share it all with you, step by step. See you very soon for the start of this incredible adventure!
